Automating AI Art Gallery’s Twitter Feed with OpenAI and Make
Our AI art gallery has been a hit with robots! Every day, we use DALL-E 2 to generate two images of robots AI-appreciating artwork in an AI-imagined gallery and automatically post them on our AI art gallery’s Twitter feed. It’s amazing to see how these creations come to life. The artwork that comes out of this AI system is unique in its own way and provides us with an interesting peek into what the future of AI art promotion may look like.
We use Make paired with OpenAI’s API to make this happen.
AI-generated art is becoming more and more prevalent in the world, adding a unique and modern take to the art industry. These images are particularly impressive because they feature artwork created by an AI encased within another AI-generated image. It’s almost like looking into a computerized infinite mirror of sorts! Although this kind of "meta" art is relatively new, it has been embraced with great enthusiasm and support – showing that even complex technology can be appreciated for its aesthetic beauty on some level.
How We Did It
To automate this task, we used Make, a powerful automation tool that allows us to connect various APIs and services to create complex workflows. We paired Make with OpenAI’s API to generate the AI art and then scheduled the tweets using Make’s built-in scheduling feature.
Cost
The daily cost is minimal, at about $0.04 for access to the OpenAI API and about $0.3 for the Make automation service (i.e. $9.99/month for many automations).
Additional Automation
We also use a similar automation to post the images to Instagram and our AI gallery’s Facebook page.
